Alan Rivera Prieto is a journalist, author, political philosopher, financial consultant, and independent trader. He is the author of ILEGALES: Truths and Lies in a Nation of Immigrants (2018), published in both English and Spanish, which explores the root causes and potential solutions to the immigration crisis in the United States.

For over 25 years, Alan worked in journalism as an investigative reporter, anchor, and executive news producer, contributing to major networks such as Univision and NBC/Telemundo, and publishing international political analysis in media outlets across the U.S., Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru.

Alan Rivera Pietro studied Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, where he also pursued Law and Political Science. He completed specialized programs in Economics and Public Policy at the University of Oxford and in Digital Marketing at Cornell University. He currently works as an agent at New York Life, the largest life insurance company in the U.S., and as an independent market trader.
